TERMS AND CONDITIONS of BOOKING Last Updated: March 10, 2025

VINYL GOLD UK By booking Vinyl Gold UK (“The Service Provider”), the Client (“You”) agrees to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions.

1. Booking Process & Payments

  • Booking Fee (Deposit): A non-refundable booking fee (deposit) is required to secure your date. The booking is not confirmed until this fee is received.

  • Balance Payment: The remaining balance must be paid in full no later than 14 days prior to the event date.

  • Late Payments: Failure to pay the balance by the due date may result in the cancellation of your booking with no refund of the booking fee.

  • Payment Method: All payments must be made via direct bank transfer as per the invoice provided.

2. Cancellations

  • Cancellation by Client:

    • More than 30 days before the event: You will not be liable for the remaining balance, but the booking fee is non-refundable.

    • Less than 30 days before the event: The full balance is payable and non-refundable.

  • Cancellation by Vinyl Gold UK: In the unlikely event we must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., illness), a full refund (including the booking fee) will be issued. We will endeavor to assist in finding a replacement DJ, though this cannot be guaranteed.

3. Venue & Access Requirements

  • Access: The Client must ensure the venue allows access at least 60 minutes prior to the start time for setup and 45 minutes after for breakdown.

  • Power Supply: The Client must ensure a safe power supply (minimum 2 x 13-amp sockets) is available within 5 meters of the performance area.

  • Space & Shelter: A flat, dry, and stable surface is required. If outdoors, the equipment and DJ must be fully covered and protected from the elements (rain/sun).

  • Parking: The Client must ensure a parking space is available for the DJ. Any parking costs incurred are the responsibility of the Client.

4. Equipment Damage & Conduct

  • Client Liability: The Client is fully responsible for any damage to Vinyl Gold UK’s equipment caused by guests (e.g., spilled drinks, falling on gear). The Client agrees to pay the full cost of repair or replacement within 7 days of the event.

  • Abuse & Safety: We operate a zero-tolerance policy regarding abuse. If the DJ or their equipment is threatened by aggressive or intoxicated behavior, the DJ reserves the right to cease performance immediately. No refund will be issued in these circumstances.

5. Performance & Music

  • Music Requests: We welcome request lists in advance. While we strive to play as many requests as possible, the DJ retains discretion to judge the crowd and flow of the event.

  • Internet Dependence: If requests are made on the night that are not in our library, we will attempt to source them, subject to venue Wi-Fi/signal availability.

  • Delays: Vinyl Gold UK is not liable for delayed start times caused by venue access issues or speeches/meals running over time.

6. Force Majeure Vinyl Gold UK shall not be liable for failing to perform its obligations if such failure is as a result of Acts of God (including fire, flood, earthquake, storm, hurricane, or other natural disaster), war, invasion, act of foreign enemies, hostilities, civil war, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, military or usurped power, or confiscation.
