Wings absolutely dominate the years chart with nine weeks at number 1. Abba also spend 9 weeks at the top spot with two big hits
Fewer singles in the top spot than the preceding years but many of them spending significant amount of time at number 1.

1965 – The number 1 spot changed 26 times, with the Beatles and the Rolling Stones each having 3 separate number 1 singles.
Ken Dodd spent 5 weeks at number 1 and Tom Jones had his first UK number 1 with the legendary “It’s not Unsusal”
Up to 1963, and we can see The Beatles dominating, spending a total of 20 weeks at the top.
